Did not fix the problem. The actual problem was the ignition lock Assembly. So, I'll sell it for less than half of what I paid to save you some money. Currently this part lists for $65 at Autozone.
I assume if you can change the agitation switch, take interior trim off and spray some undercoating. Maybe a little undercoating in there. Also, if you are looking at this listing, the rust on left side of lift gate is heavily contributed to / caused by nine holes Behring FORD logo. Used Ignition Switch from 01/08/2007 - 02/27/2012, Escape/Mariner/Hybrid, Thought problem was ignition switch so I replaced it.
So I had to replace that and it came with an ignition switch about a month after purchased this.
